Rodarte's fall collection was a breath of fresh air. After seeing show after show of the same prime trends I was so excited to see Rodarte's line followed almost none of them. Rodarte kept the hemlines of all their skirts short, which was different then the midi skirt trend we have been seeing. One of the main themes of Rodarte was the mixing of different textures between the fabrics. There was a lot of different pairings. There was lace, fur, leather, and sequence. Sequence was everywhere. One of the pairing I loved was lace paired with leather. I loved sequence flowing into fringe. I was pleasantly happy with the high waisted pants. High waisted pants will still be the preferred style of pants this fall. Rodarte did keep up with the 70s theme channeling a lot of inspiration from disco. You can see the inspiration in the leather pants and sequence. Rodarte was a perfect update on traditional fall fabrics: leather and fur. The makeup was a clean face with a light pink lip. Overall, Rodarte was an amazing original collection.
