ICYMI: Alice Glass for i-D mag

Alice Glass

Alice Glass has been one of my fashion icons for a while. Her adventurous style and I-don't-give-a-fuck look has inspired many of my outfits. I've been listening to Crystal Castles since I was in middle school. When Crystal Castles announced their break up a few months back,  I was devastated. Last year, when I saw Alice Glass in the front rows of fashion shows I was super excited. She is a badass and a feminist. She doesn't apologize for anything and is extremely honest. Alice recently appeared in i-D Magazine. The photo spread and interview are intriguing and I suggest you take a look. I think she will be the new It-Girl.

Fall 2015: Collections We Love

I'll be the first to admit it, I have never really been a fan of Prada. I could never get on the Prada bandwagon. I almost skipped even looking at their collection. Boy am I glad I didn't. I loved this collection by Prada. It could almost be mistaken for a Spring collection with all the bright colors incorporated. The bright colors contrast the dismal days of the Fall/Winter season. I must say I am obsessed with the gloves. The gloves are what first caught my eye. They're so feminine and delicate. I love it. The whole collection is very feminine and delicate, even the shoes. Prada used a lot of scuba material within their coats. It gives the coats structure, but also provide some fun to the standard peacoat. Prada continue with the baby doll dress trend. The baby doll dress will be a major trend in the fall. Prada even incorporated the baby doll look into shirts. Overall, Prada stood out against all the other collections with the bright colors. It followed some Fall trends but created its own pathway, which is something I always love.

Chicken with Garlic, Lemon, and Thyme

This recipe is great for any weeknight! It is minimal work, but it tastes like you spent hours working on it! It does take a little while to fully bake, but after you smell the delicious garlic, you'll realize it was all worth it.

Due to the fact that I made this recipe after I spent 10 hours travelling, I forgot to take pictures..But my friend did manage to snap one picture of the final plate! It looks a little messy, but in my defense, it was 11pm and I had been awake for a really long time. I hope you enjoy! #elkinthekitchen

Chicken with Garlic, Lemon, and Thyme

Ingredients
1 package of chicken thighs, bone in and skin on, there should be 4 or 5 pieces
3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
1 lemon
4 sprigs of thyme
2 Tbsp olive oil
salt and pepper to taste

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Thinly cut 4 slices of lemon, and save the rest for juice. Unwrap the chicken and place the thighs in an ovenproof baking pan. I used a glass Pyrex dish that I found in my friend's kitchen.
3. Sprinkle the sliced garlic and the the sprigs of thyme over the chicken, then place the lemon slices in the dish. Use the other half of the lemon to squeeze some juice over the thighs.
4. Sprinkle on some salt and pepper (I'm usually pretty generous with both of these in this recipe). Pour the olive oil evenly over the dish, and you're ready to put it in the oven.
5. Bake at 350 for about 30-40 minutes, The skin on top should be crispy, and the meat on the inside should be devoid of all pink coloring. If the chicken is still pink, you need to put it back in the over for a few minutes.
6. Pair with some nice crusty bread, polenta, or even some rice! When you pour the oil from the chicken over any carb like that, the result is amazing. Enjoy :)
